A track I’m working on named ‘Gravitsapa.’ Inspired by the dark psychedelic artist Kindzadza and by the film which inspired his name, ‘Kin-Dza-Dza!’
I’ll be playing this on the weekend of the 29th in amongst other tracks I’ve written- it amuses and excites me to wonder how it will be received. Hopefully there will still be people left on the dancefloor afterwards so the other artists don’t string me up.
This photograph demonstrates quite adequately exactly why I bought a DSLR.
The old cars-at-an-intersection trick.
Buildings in the city have always interested me. Such repetition; they seem so impersonal.
Patch 3: Construction/Constriction
Patch 2: Just in Case
I’ve been in quite a slump for a while now. The last month has seen me make some significant changes to my lifestyle; I can feel a modicum of clarity returning to my thoughts and a different outlook and plan for my future.
This afternoon, my mind decided that a part of this change should include a sequence of images produced throughout the whole process. The name it gave me was Patches.
There is one stipulation: the images are to be 10cmx10cm .png files at 300dpi. Other than that, anything goes.
Patch 1: Self-Portrait
I read somewhere that most adults draw at about a 12-year-old’s level- usually because they gave up on drawing at that age. I am a good example of this.
Some more long exposure shots taken at a ‘local secret’ location on the Mornington Peninsula. This place fascinates me; it’s named ‘Chinaman’s Hat,’ as it was supposedly built entirely by one Asian man using scavenged materials around 40-50 years ago. This is somewhere I think I will be returning quite often as my photography skills develop (No pun intended…)
Thanks to Dp8, Chris and Sim (I think I remembered their names correctly!) for their input and tips.
I’ve been taking advantage of clear skies and the approaching full moon over the last few nights. Still got a long way to go before I can get nice, focused images but I feel I’m improving.
Further experiments in light-painting from a few months ago, using a laser pointer among other items.
